Artists on Artists (AOA) is an independent artist-run platform, putting a spotlight on the work of artists living, working and/or exhibiting in London and Southwestern Ontario.

What We Do

  • We select artists who are local to Southwestern Ontario to interview and feature their work online.
  • We focus on contemporary emerging and established artists with particular emphasis on artists working with an expanded practice and new media.
  • We hope to publish an annual magazine with featured work from artists included on our platform.
  • Our future goal is to have a local gallery space that will feature the work of local contemporary artists.
  • We are open to connecting with local businesses to create meaningful, free creative opportunities for the community.

Through the interview format, we strive to dissect the rich, philosophical and theoretical content that is generated by artists through their practice. Film offers a unique accessibility to the artist. It allows the artist to communicate directly to the viewer, the complex, diverse and often varied topics that inform their creative practices. When artists interview artists, their commonality draws out a sympathetic, yet critical insight, delivering a thorough investigation of the artists work.
